Job summary

Arul Health, Boston, seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own end-to-end product development, from React front ends to Python/FastAPI back ends and agentic AI workflows. You will partner with the CEO to shape the product and deliver HIPAA-compliant software.

This on-site role offers a salary range of $165K–$200K and equity, with collaborators across care navigation, scheduling, insurance, and financial assistance tasks.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping consumer or user-facing products at a startup or top product company.
• Experience building full-stack features for chronic condition management applications.
• Production LLM experience: agent orchestration, prompt and context design, tool use, evals, guardrails and observability.
• Strong front-end and design engineering skills, not only back-end skills.
• Experience with product ownership: roadmap creation and strategic trade-offs.
• Experience at an early-stage startup.
• Experience mentoring and guiding other engineers.
• A formal degree and a strong educational background.
• Ability to work on-site in Boston, 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack features for patients, caregivers and care navigators, from design to production.
• Design and ship production LLM agents: orchestration, prompt and context design, tool use, evals, guardrails and observability.
• Build agent workflows that book appointments, request prescription refills and complete insurance and financial assistance tasks.
• Make product trade-offs with the CEO and help set the product roadmap.
• Keep our software reliable, secure and HIPAA-compliant.
• Mentor and guide other engineers as the team grows.
