Senior Full Stack Engineer – Remote, US-Based, Contract

Mission-Driven Geospatial Analytics

We’ve partnered with a remote-first government technology partner who is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build modern, scalable web applications that deliver real-time intelligence to critical missions. You’ll be joining a collaborative engineering team focused on tools that support everything from disaster response to humanitarian operations.

You’ll play a key role across both front and back-end development, working with tools like React, TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of data-driven UIs, API design, and distributed systems. In this role, you’ll be trusted to shape the product and identify areas for innovation, all while supporting urgent, real-world impact.

What you’ll do:

• Build and ship full-stack applications used in national-level missions
• Design clean, consistent interfaces and performant backend systems
• Develop and maintain APIs, manage databases, and scale services
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and mission teams
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and service health

You should have:

• 7–10 years of experience in a full-stack or similar engineering role
• Strong skills in React, TypeScript, Python & AWS
• Experience with scalable architectures, CI/CD, and performance monitoring
• Familiarity with geospatial tools (e.g. Mapbox, Leaflet) is a bonus
• Excellent communication in a fully remote, distributed environment

This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in the US, with preference for those near Washington, DC, Denver, CO, or Fayetteville, NC.
