The role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural influence across a multi-service product surface.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications that power a healthcare data ecosystem
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver polished user experiences
• Develop scalable frontend apps, backend services, APIs, and data-driven solutions supporting large-scale record and transaction volumes
• Guide technical design decisions and shape architecture patterns that enable long-term scalability and maintainability
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous learning
• Own substantial projects end-to-end, from design through deployment and ongoing operation
• Share expertise through technical discussions, mentorship, and contributions to an engineering blog

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production software systems
• Strong full-stack engineering experience, including modern frontend development and backend services
• Hands-on experience building customer-facing applications with React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks
• Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code, lead thoughtful code reviews, and drive engineering best practices
• Demonstrated success leading projects from concept to production through complex technical challenges
• Strong collaboration and communication across engineering, product, and design teams, with a passion for mentoring

Nice to have

• Comfort working across a polyglot backend (Python, Go, Java) with microservices, REST, and GraphQL
• Familiarity with modern data and infrastructure tooling, including AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Spark, Airflow or Glue, and Kafka or Kinesis
