Job summary

NuAxis Innovations, a federal IT company, seeks a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead development across front-end and back-end technologies. You will set engineering standards for custom applications and act as a technical authority on delivery.

You will architect and implement full stack solutions with Java, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and modern frameworks while embedding DevSecOps and accessibility best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5–8 years of full stack development experience across front-end and back-end.
• Professional senior-level certification in the primary stack (e.g., Java, .NET, AWS).
• Cloud platform certification aligned to hosting environment within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop full stack applications across front-end and back-end.
• Design RESTful and event-driven APIs, service layers, and schemas.
• Embed DevSecOps practices: automated testing, static/dynamic analysis, CI/CD.
• Lead code reviews, set coding standards, reduce technical debt.
• Ensure front-end meets Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
• Mentor mid-level developers and guide solution architecture decisions.

Job Summary:

Leads development of complex applications across front-end and back-end technologies. Serves as technical authority for custom application delivery, setting engineering standards across the stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop full stack applications using Java, .NET, JavaScript and TypeScript, Python, and modern frameworks.
• Design RESTful and event-driven APIs, service layers, and database schemas.
• Embed DevSecOps practices: automated testing, static and dynamic analysis, secure dependency management, and CI/CD integration.
• Lead code reviews, establish coding standards, and drive technical debt reduction.
• Ensure front-end delivery meets Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements.
• Mentor mid-level developers and contribute to solution architecture decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Two (2) years of specialized experience may substitute for one (1) year of the academic requirement.
• Minimum Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of full stack application development experience spanning both front-end and server-side delivery.
• Certifications - Required: Professional or senior-level certification in the primary stack (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional Java SE, Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate, or AWS Certified Developer - Associate).
• Certifications - Obtainable After Hire: Cloud platform certification aligned to the hosting environment, within 180 days of assignment.
• Certifications - Preferred: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD); AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
• Required Skills: JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js); Java and/or .NET; Python; RESTful API design; relational and NoSQL databases; DevSecOps practices; containerization; secure coding.
• Preferred Skills: Cloud-native development; microservices architecture; test automation frameworks; federal sector experience.

Technical Environment
