Job summary

NuAxis is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer for a full-time role to lead development of complex applications across frontend and backend technologies. You will act as the technical authority for custom delivery, setting engineering standards across the stack.

The position requires 5–8 years of experience, Bachelor's degree, and senior-level certifications in the primary stack, with cloud certifications obtainable after hire within 180 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Five to eight years of full stack application development experience across front-end and back-end.
• Certifications — Required: Java or .NET senior-level certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional Java SE, Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate, AWS Certified Developer - Associate).
• Certifications — Obtainable After Hire: Cloud platform certification within 180 days of assignment.
• Certifications — Preferred: CKAD; AWS Solutions Architect – Associate.
• Required Skills: JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js); Java and/or .NET; Python; RESTful API design; relational and NoSQL databases; DevSecOps; containerization; secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop full stack applications using Java, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python.
• Design RESTful and event-driven APIs, service layers, and database schemas.
• Embed DevSecOps practices: automated testing, static and dynamic analysis, secure dependency management, CI/CD integration.
• Lead code reviews, establish coding standards, and reduce technical debt.
• Ensure front-end delivery meets Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
• Mentor mid-level developers and contribute to solution architecture decisions.

Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Two (2) years of specialized experience may substitute for one (1) year of the academic requirement.
• Minimum Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of full stack application development experience spanning both front-end and server-side delivery.
• Certifications — Required: Professional or senior-level certification in the primary stack (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional Java SE, Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate, or AWS Certified Developer - Associate).
• Certifications — Obtainable After Hire: Cloud platform certification aligned to the hosting environment, within 180 days of assignment.
• Certifications — Preferred: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD); AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
• Required Skills: JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js); Java and/or .NET; Python; RESTful API design; relational and NoSQL databases; DevSecOps practices; containerization; secure coding.
• Preferred Skills: Cloud-native development; microservices architecture; test automation frameworks; federal sector experience.
