Job summary

Novul Solutions is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer for DoD operations, focused on secure, scalable Java-based applications and modern front-end workstreams. The role requires strong AWS, IaC, and DevSecOps capabilities, with a full SDLC and Agile mindset. On-site in Arlington, VA with occasional travel.

The ideal candidate will lead API integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices across the development lifecycle to support mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with extensive software development experience and DoD context preferred.
• Experience designing, developing, and modifying enterprise software.
• Hands-on AWS, IaC, and secure SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• API & Systems Integration: develop RESTful APIs and ESB integrations.
• Infrastructure as Code: design and implement IaC with Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation.
• DevSecOps & CI/CD: build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Artifactory).
• AWS Cloud Infrastructure: manage VPCs, subnets, security groups, and hybrid connectivity.
• Cloud Application Development: deploy apps using AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3).
• Source Code Management: establish Git branching and change control.
• Security & Compliance: apply secure coding, perform code reviews and threat modeling.
• Process Improvement: create SOPs, playbooks, and development workflows.
• Performance Monitoring: track KPIs and automation effectiveness.
• Requirements Analysis: collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions on time and inside budget.
