Job summary

Acuity Inc. is building a modern CIAM platform to power authentication, authorization, and customer onboarding across Acuity Commerce and other units.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer you will design, develop, and operate cloud-native identity services powering secure access across multiple products. You will collaborate with Platform Engineering, Security, Product, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable, secure experiences and reusable components, APIs, and services for multiple business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js or Vue.js.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with microservices and distributed architectures.
• Hands-on experience integrating with identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID / External ID, Okta, Auth0, Ping Identity, or similar CIAM platforms.
• Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, JWT Tokens, and authentication/authorization patterns.
• Experience developing applications on Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
• Experience working with Git-based development workflows.
• Experience implementing automated testing and quality engineering practices.
• Strong understanding of Agile software delivery methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native CIAM applications.
• Build customer-facing identity experiences including registration, login, MFA, profile management, and consent management.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices for identity workflows.
• Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern frontend technologies.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization across web, mobile, and API channels.
• Collaborate with Architects and IAM specialists to implement identity design patterns and standards.
• Integrate applications with CIAM platforms (e.g., Okta, Entra, Auth0).
• Develop identity APIs and services enabling secure access across products and ecosystems.
• Design and develop secure RESTful and event-driven APIs; build scalable distributed systems.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines; support deployment and operations.
