Job summary

Proactive Technology Management in the United States seeks a Senior Full-Stack BI Architect / Fabric Data Engineer to design enterprise-grade data solutions using medallion architecture and domain-driven design. You will build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and dashboards that translate complex data into actionable insights.

The role requires expertise in the Microsoft Cloud Data Stack, DAX, Power Query M, SQL, Spark Python, and data modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; advanced certifications in data engineering or BI are a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, BI architecture, or related role, with enterprise-grade solutions.
• Deep expertise in medallion architecture, data modeling (star/snowflake), and data warehousing best practices.
• Proven ability to apply domain-driven design principles, ensuring data solutions reflect business domains and ubiquitous language.
• Expert proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query M, and SQL with a track record of scalable BI solutions.
• Strong programming skills with Spark Python for advanced data processing and analytics.
• Experience with Microsoft Cloud Data Stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric) and other cloud tech.
• Ability to translate complex datasets into intuitive insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead ETL/ELT pipelines within a medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for data quality, scalability, and accessibility.
• Architect and develop advanced data models reflecting domain-driven design and ubiquitous language.
• Design and implement star and snowflake schemas with medallion schema practices for analytics.
• Create dynamic, user-centric dashboards and reports in Power BI for real-time insights.
• Leverage DAX and Power Query M for sophisticated calculations and transformations.
• Build and optimize SQL-based data integration and database solutions.
• Use Spark Python for processing large datasets and advanced analytics.
• Collaborate with business leaders to define KPIs and align data solutions with goals.
• Stay updated on BI/data engineering trends and mentor team members.
