Job summary

Holtec International in Camden, NJ is seeking a Senior Software Developer to lead design, development, and maintenance of enterprise applications across modern and legacy systems. You will partner with stakeholders to drive architecture and deliver scalable, secure software in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has deep C#/.NET experience, strong full‑stack skills, and a proven track record of guiding architectural decisions while mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep expertise in C#, .NET Core and .NET Framework across full‑stack applications.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, front‑end tech, and scalable system design using SOLID principles and CQRS.
• Advanced SQL Server expertise including schema design, indexing, procedures, and query optimization.
• Experience with OAuth2/OIDC and Azure AD/Entra ID, and secure development practices.
• Proven ability to lead architectural decisions across applications and databases in complex environments.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and AI‑assisted coding tools; strong stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME across a portfolio of enterprise applications.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and identify risks early.
• Translate business processes into sound technical designs and deliver solutions independently.
• Design and document application architecture and database structures.
• Enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices.
• Architect scalable, maintainable solutions and evaluate existing systems for optimization.
• Perform peer code reviews and uphold high standards of code quality.
• Apply and promote secure software development practices.
• Identify technical risks and provide clear, actionable solutions.
• Develop well‑structured, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Estimate and scope work independently in planning sessions.
• Maintain and enhance system and code documentation.
• Mentor and support junior developers where applicable.
