Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is hiring a Senior IT Application Developer for School of Medicine applications, including faculty affairs, finance, and research administration. The role spans the full lifecycle from design through production support, collaborating with Data Team, stakeholders, security, and other developers.

Hybrid work arrangement with three days on campus and flexibility for in-person meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, or closely related field.
• Two (2) years of professional experience in software or web application development.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in software or web application development; ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and modern JS/TS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance School of Medicine applications, including front-end interfaces, logic, services, and back-end components built with .NET/C# and JavaScript.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into application designs; make technical design and architecture decisions.
• Follow secure coding, accessibility, usability, performance, and data-protection standards (HIPAA/FERPA) throughout development.
