Job summary

Genius Business Solutions Inc. (GBSI) is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Des Moines, IA.

You will design, develop, and deploy enterprise‑scale apps using Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and Generative AI, focusing on backend systems, APIs, and cloud‑native architectures. The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of software engineering experience, strong API and cloud deployment skills, and hands‑on AI experience with RAG/chatbot solutions.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of software engineering experience with strong hands‑on development in modern apps.
• Strong experience with Node.js / TypeScript as the primary language.
• Experience building backend/full‑stack solutions, APIs, services, databases, cloud deployment and ops support.
• Hands‑on AWS experience with services like API Gateway, Lambda, Bedrock, S3, EventBridge, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, CloudWatch, CDK, Fargate; Bedrock required.
• Infrastructure as code (IaC) experience, ideally AWS CDK; CDK is required.
• At least 1 year of Generative AI solutions experience (RAG/chatbot) for enterprise knowledge assistants.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise‑grade backend and full‑stack components.
• Design APIs, data models, and cloud deployments for scalable apps.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and security teams.
• Implement IaC and CI/CD pipelines to automate delivery.
• Work with Generative AI features, embeddings, and retrieval techniques.
• Ensure secure, robust, and testable software with strong UX impact.
