Job summary

OnPoint Insights is seeking a Sr Fullstack Consultant to design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using FastAPI. The role includes async data access with SQLAlchemy and PostgreSQL, background job orchestration with arq/Redis, and LLM provider integration.

You will support the React/TypeScript frontend with well-documented APIs, containerize with Docker Compose, and ensure robust security with JWT/OAuth/SAML. Durham, NC-based hybrid position with in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience building web services/REST APIs using modern frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to troubleshoot across the stack end-to-end.
• Experience with containerized deployments and cloud flavors.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using FastAPI.
• Implement async data access with SQLAlchemy and PostgreSQL, including migrations.
• Operate background-job pipelines (arq/Redis) for Spark, scoring, and LLM tasks.
• Integrate multiple LLM providers behind a swappable interface.
• Support React/TypeScript frontend with stable API contracts.
