Job summary

Wine.com is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Maplewood, NJ fulfillment center. You will partner with the General Manager to execute daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual operational plans while leading staffing and all logistics center functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in warehouse/logistics center management or a related field.
• Strong inventory management skills with a proven track record.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse/logistics center functions and practices in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and write in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Competency in safely operating powered material handling equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build partnerships.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and stand or walk for 8 hours daily.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including days, nights, and weekends.
• A strong team player in a busy logistics center environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inventory accuracy by monitoring daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, and deliveries.
• Lead and oversee the fulfillment floor, guiding Operations Managers, Leads, and Associates.
• Ensure 100% SOP compliance and meet annual performance goals.
• Recruit, train, and manage logistics center staff; maintain optimal staffing levels.
• Provide leadership by setting expectations and upholding high work standards.
• Address and minimize common shipping issues to maintain smooth operations.
• Use reports to monitor order fulfillment: picking, packing, and shipping.
• Evaluate team performance by tracking UPH and providing feedback.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation for timely operations.
• Cultivate a work environment with high employee involvement and morale.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness within the warehouse.
• Oversee all tasks impacting the logistics center’s functionality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
