Job summary

Orenco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Composite Design Engineer to lead the design of FRP products for infrastructure applications. You will guide closed-mold processes and ensure compliance with major codes while collaborating across production, QA/QC, sales, and management.

This role requires deep structural knowledge and hands-on experience with design for manufacturing. Ideal candidates will bring 5+ years in composite design (10+ preferred), expertise in RTM and vacuum infusion, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural Engineering, or Materials Science.
Minimum 5 years' experience in composite product design; 10+ years preferred.
Proficiency with closed-mold processes and structural analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of FRP composite products for infrastructure applications.
Oversee closed molding techniques (RTM, vacuum infusion) and optimize manufacturing processes.
Ensure code compliance with IBC, ACI, ASCE, AISC, AASHTO, ASTM in designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, QA/QC, sales, and management.
Interface with customers, certification agencies, and third‑party engineers as needed.
