Job summary

Modern Family Law seeks a Senior Frontend React Engineer to own the frontend architecture and implementation for a new family-law product. You will translate designs into production-ready experiences, collaborate tightly with product and backend engineers, and shape patterns for complex multi-step workflows with strong validation and AI-enabled features.

You will ensure accessibility, performance, and secure, role-aware experiences across client and attorney workflows, while championing testing

Qualifications

• Production experience building React and TypeScript apps with complex user workflows.
• Experience establishing frontend architecture for products with meaningful state and backend integration.
• Strong knowledge of component architecture, state management, forms, routing, and maintainable frontend patterns.
• Experience building multi-step/workflow-based apps with validation, persistence, and clear error states.
• Understanding of frontend authentication flows and role-aware interfaces with backend enforcement.
• Experience partnering with backend engineers to define API contracts and data structures.
• Strong accessibility, responsive design, browser compatibility, and frontend performance practices.
• Experience implementing automated frontend testing for critical components.
• Ability to review code, establish frontend standards, and mentor other frontend developers.
• Ability to work independently on a greenfield product and make architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own frontend architecture and implementation in React and TypeScript from components to production workflows.
• Translate designs into production-ready experiences with product and backend teams.
• Own patterns for complex workflows, including forms, validation, autosave, and error handling.
• Collaborate with API engineers to define contracts and data structures.
• Establish component architecture, state management, routing, and frontend conventions.
• Build secure, role-aware experiences with proper permissions and workflow state.
• Integrate AI-enabled capabilities into product workflows and UI.
• Own frontend performance, accessibility, and production quality.
• Establish testing practices for components and workflows.
• Review code and provide technical guidance as the team grows.
