Handshake is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Frontend Platform to build reusable TypeScript and React components, contribute to the design system, and improve the frontend developer experience across applications.

You will partner with product, design, and other platform teams to shape APIs, drive accessibility, and deliver scalable frontend capabilities that empower teams to move fast with confidence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend software development experience with ownership.
• Expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern frontend ecosystem.
• Experience building reusable libraries, design systems, or shared components.
• Experience collaborating with product, design, and platform teams.
• Ability to turn AI experiments into durable engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve reusable TypeScript and React components used across Handshake apps.
• Shape the design system as a living product balancing consistency and flexibility.
• Improve frontend developer experience with clear paths for development and testing.
• Collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to meet needs.
• Lead or contribute to cross-cutting frontend capabilities across apps.
• Strengthen frontend CI/CD, tooling, and accessibility checks.
• Mentor colleagues and drive technical excellence through reviews.
