Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a strong independent full‑stack contributor for a new venture to address critical operator needs. You will pair closely with senior engineers to ship our roadmap and drive frontend architecture improvements across the codebase.

You will bring React and modern frontend expertise, advocate for scalable patterns, and contribute to MVP launch and its scalable adoption. You will own code delivery and collaborate with leadership to align technical designs with business strategy.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in React and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience in 0 -> 1 builds.
• Strong experience with frontend patterns and architecture.
• Hands-on experience in large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience communicating technical designs within their team.
• Act as a collaborative and solution-oriented partner to leadership and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Be a strong independent fullstack contributor for a new team to address operator needs currently unmet by Toast.
• Bring frontend expertise to establish and advocate for best practices in frontend patterns to elevate our UI architecture and development standards.
• Contribute to the architecture and implementation of key features and components for the New Venture across the Toast codebase.
• Understand operator needs and contribute to the team’s business strategy.
• Collaborate closely with New Ventures Leads to successfully launch an MVP and facilitate its scalable adoption by a broad customer base.
• Navigate diverse codebases across disciplines to consistently deliver high-quality code within established timelines.
• Demonstrate a high degree of ownership in all aspects of development.
• Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow, improve velocity, and help pioneer new approaches to building, contributing to a culture of innovation and productivity across the team.
