Back Market is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join our US Engineering Team in New York. You will own frontend features, design high-quality web experiences, and collaborate across product, design, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end experiences for American shoppers.

You will work in a hybrid environment with NY office policy, requiring three days per week in the office and Mondays mandatory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong frontend focus.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Professional experience with Vue 3 and Nuxt 3.

Responsibilities

• Own frontend features from discovery through production, including design, implementation, testing, rollout.
• Design and implement responsive, accessible web experiences using JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue 3, and Nuxt 3.
• Build server-side-rendered experiences and optimize performance, caching, hydration.
• Develop reusable interfaces with component libraries and established design patterns.
• Improve web performance, accessibility, internationalization, and frontend quality.
• Translate customer insights into product experiences for refurbishment tech.
• Support experimentation with feature flags and data-informed iteration.
• Partner with backend engineers to define API contracts and integrate services.
