Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend to join the Consumer Payments team. You will own frontend development for crypto money movement experiences and partner with product/design/backend to ship high-scale payment flows across web and mobile.

You will mentor junior engineers, own SLOs, and drive performance improvements while applying responsible AI to improve workflow efficiency and user experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in React and React Native.
• Proven track record shipping consumer-facing products end-to-end in high-scale environments.
• Experience owning SLOs and improving latency and availability for user-facing flows.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing as a senior technical voice.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end frontend development for core crypto money movement experiences across web and mobile.
• Drive improvements in CUJ latency, availability, and SLOs for payment flows.
• Build user-facing features like contact management and real-time status trackers.
• Partner with product, design, and backend engineers to scope, prioritize, and ship projects reducing CX touchpoints.
• Identify and resolve frontend bottlenecks to reduce latency and improve reliability.
