Job summary

Hired is seeking a Frontend Engineer to build accessible, performant interfaces and collaborate with design and product to translate ideas into shipped UI that customers actually touch.

You will work on building interfaces in React or Vue, maintain a design system, and optimise performance while collaborating across time zones. Remote work, perks, and a strong emphasis on craft and collaboration are offered.

Qualifications

• 3 years building production frontend applications.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Vue, and modern CSS.
• Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, Pinia, or similar).
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and testing tools.
• Understanding of web performance optimisation.
• Strong design sensibility and craft.

Responsibilities

• Build user interfaces in React, Vue, or similar modern framework.
• Translate design specs into pixel-accurate, accessible, performant code.
• Maintain and evolve the design system and shared component library.
• Optimise frontend performance, including bundle size and Core Web Vitals.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering practices.
• Partner closely with designers and product managers throughout the build cycle.
