Job summary

Vizcom, an AI design tool startup, is seeking a senior frontend engineer to own end-to-end features from concept to production. You’ll build frontend and API, optimize canvas performance, and shape how designers collaborate within the app.

You’ll work with product, design, AI and backend engineers, using React, TypeScript, Canvas, and WebGL to deliver fast, high‑quality experiences. The role requires strong judgment, a taste for UX, and a willingness to own outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping complex frontend apps in React and TypeScript.
• Experience with Canvas, WebGL/WebGPU, or a custom rendering engine.
• Design a GraphQL schema and write Postgres migrations.
• Strong product taste and ability to push back on specs.
• Ability to own outcomes and verify work, not just complete tickets.

Responsibilities

• Own big pieces end-to-end: scope with design, build frontend and API, ship, observe usage, and fix issues.
• Improve workbench performance for large files and long sessions.
• Develop pro-grade 2D tools and a rich canvas experience.
• Build agent-first canvas UI for create → review → present with AI agent integration.
• Support projects, real-time collaboration, and enterprise roles/permissions.
• Develop 3D in the browser using Three.js/WebGL and ensure production quality through tests and instrumentation.
