We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to lead the design and development of the user interface and interaction layer for a new platform. You will play a critical role in crafting a seamless, responsive, and intelligent user experience that bridges complex backend systems with intuitive front-end design. Tech Solutions is an internal innovation team within Burns & McDonnell that partners with professionals across all global practices to create impactful IT and digital tools. Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop a scalable, modular front-end framework.
• Collaborate with UX designers, backend developers, and engineers to deliver a cohesive and intelligent user experience.
• Build dynamic, data-driven interfaces that allow users to interact with and retrieve data efficiently.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure usability across devices and screen sizes.
• Integrate with APIs and backend services to support real-time data interaction and visualization.
• Ensure accessibility, performance, and security best practices are embedded in the UI.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to front-end development standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong portfolio of web applications preferred.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and responsive design.
• Experience building component-based architectures and design systems.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSocket integrations.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AI/ML-driven interfaces or conversational UI frameworks.
• Familiarity with enterprise data systems and engineering workflows.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js).
