Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior Automotive Chassis Design Engineer focused on front suspension and vehicle architecture in Michigan. Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive/commercial vehicle engineering experience in relevant domain.
• 2+ years CAD experience (CATIA 3Dx, 3DExperience or V5).
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Define component and system engineering requirements.
• Create and develop engineering designs and concepts.
• Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases.
• Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, sourcing, and validation activities.
• Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage engineering changes and documentation.
• Proven background in concept-to-production vehicle development and problem solving.
