Job summary

gsbusinesscommunications is seeking a freelance Front-End Web Developer to build responsive, high-performance WordPress sites across client projects. You will translate Figma/ XD designs to production-ready sites, implement modular content structures, and ensure accessibility, performance, and maintainability.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in front-end and WordPress development, plus a solid portfolio of live client sites and strong HTML/CSS/JS/PHP skills.

Qualifications

5+ years of front-end and WordPress development experience, preferably in an agency or client-services setting.
Strong portfolio of live client websites with custom templates or components.
Deep understanding of responsive design and modern front-end practices.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Experience with Git workflows and collaborative coding.

Responsibilities

Build, customize, and maintain responsive WordPress templates, themes, and UI components.
Work within WordPress architecture including The Loop, hooks, and CPTs.
Design modular content schemas and custom fields for client editing.
Integrate third-party modules, e-commerce solutions, and APIs.
Translate designs from Figma/Adobe XD into production-ready sites.
Ensure cross-browser/device compatibility and performance optimization.
Maintain code quality and documentation for handoffs.
