Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in front-end development.
• 5+ years of experience in frontend development.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX and SEO best practices.
• Awareness of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with design/prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe XD, InVision or Sketch.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the platform is fully responsive and delivers an optimal user experience across devices.
• Optimize site performance via image optimization, caching, code minimization, and CDN usage.
• Write secure, high-quality code and review/debug code with the team.
• Identify opportunities to enhance user experience and platform performance.
• Stay up to date with emerging front-end technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern, high-performance web pages using leading front-end technologies.
• Play a lead role in engineering the next version of Scholarships.com using a mobile-first strategy.
• Ensure the platform is fully responsive and delivers an optimal user experience across devices.
• Optimize site performance by improving load times through image optimization, caching, code minimization, and CDN usage.
• Write secure, high-quality code, and review/debug code authored by team members.
• Identify opportunities to enhance user experience and overall platform performance.
• Stay up to date with emerging front-end technologies and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in front-end development with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of layout, UI/UX principles, and SEO best practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or Sketch.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C#, SQL Server, MVC, or Microsoft development environments.
