Job summary

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Senior Front End Software Engineer to design, implement, and test user interfaces for a next-generation global-scale networking situational awareness platform.

The role is based at our Arlington, VA headquarters with 4–5 days on-site and potential light travel. You will prototype solutions, document designs, and contribute high-quality, commercial-grade code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of professional front end development with component-based frameworks.
• Strong familiarity with Vue or React.
• Familiarity with geospatial JS libraries such as Cesium or OpenLayers.
• Familiarity with standard Linux software engineering tools (git, gcc, make).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend features in a modern web component-based framework (Vue or React).
• Collaborate with users and teammates to implement features and debug issues.
• Work with design and PMs to implement responsive, modular, event-driven designs.
• Coordinate with testing to establish thorough testing strategies for quality products.
• Design and develop full sections of functionality from broad requirements.
• Follow UI/UX designs and suggest improvements and edge-case handling.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, modular code.
• Stay current with industry trends to improve the system.

Senior Front End Software Engineer to our team building a next generation global-scale networking situational awareness and command and control platform. In this role you would be specifically focused on designing, implementing, and testing user interfaces. The candidate should have a track record demonstrating the ability to research new technologies, document and propose designs to team members, quickly prototype solutions, and, ultimately, produce dependable and testable commercial-grade code. This position focuses on front-end development but also may allow for some back-end development using gRPC and similar frameworks.

The role will be located in our Arlington, VA headquarters at least 4-5 days per week, and may involve some light travel when transitioning products.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend features in a modern web component-based framework such as Vue or React
• Work with users and teammates to implement new features and debug issues
• Work closely with design and program managers to implement responsive, modular, and event-driven designs
• Work closely with the testing team to establish comprehensive testing strategies to increase our confidence delivering, maintaining and operating a high quality product
• Be comfortable designing and developing full sections of functionality given broad requirements, including identifying and handling of edge cases and error states
• Follow provided UI/UX designs/mockups and be comfortable suggesting improvements, designing and implementing while handling of edge cases and error states given a broad intent
• Participate on code reviews and ensure high-quality, modular, and reusable code
• Stay up to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our system

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, EE, or related field and 5 years of relevant experience; comparable relevant experience without a degree will be considered.
• 5+ years of professional front end software development experience with component-based frameworks
• Strong familiarity with Vue or React
• Familiarity with geospatial JS libraries such as Cesium or OpenLayers
• Familiarity with standard Linux software engineering tools, e.g., git, gcc, make
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance

Nice If You Have

• Experience with WebSocket or Server Sent Events
• Experience with Tailwind CSS
• Experience with REST API or FastAPI
• Experience with Go and Python
• Experience with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools
• An active DoD clearance (Secret or above)

Clearance Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance up to TS/SCI

Salary Range

$125,000 - $180,000 USD
