Job summary

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Lead Front End Engineer to build, deploy, and implement innovative UI features for multi-domain platforms serving critical national security functions. You will work from our Arlington, VA or Austin, TX offices to craft reusable components, align with design and product teams, and guide developers through complex edge cases.

The role requires 7+ years in software engineering, strong experience with Vue/Ember/React/Angular, and hands-on leadership in agile teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 7+ years practical software engineering experience.
• 5+ years experience with component-based frameworks (Vue/Ember/React/Angular).
• 4+ years developing responsive web applications.
• 2+ years as tech lead for an agile dev team.
• Experience developing with AI coding tools.
• Experience with build tools such as Webpack or Vite.
• Experience collaborating with UI/UX designers and product managers.
• Experience using Git and Jira in a development workflow.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement UI framework pieces of reusable components to support rapid development of new features.
• Work closely with design and other leads to implement detailed designs.
• Be comfortable developing full sections of functionality given broad requirements, including identifying and handling edge cases and error states.
• Provide technical direction and mentoring to developers, including one‑on‑one time to educate and ensure success.

Two Six Technologies is seeking an experiencedLead Front End Engineer to work on multi-domain platforms serving critical national security functions using cutting‑edge modern frameworks. Join our team to solve hard problems in large‑scale data investigation and analysis, real‑time collaboration, task and resource planning and coordination, and high‑dimensional data summarization and visualization allowing lay persons to easily answer complex questions.

Work will be located in either our Arlington, VA or Austin, TX offices.

What will you do:

• Define and implement UI framework pieces composed of reusable components to support rapid development of new features

What you need to perform successfully:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 7+ years practical experience in software engineering. In lieu of degree, comparable experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of experience with component-based frameworks, e.g. Vue, Ember, React, and/or Angular
• 4+ years of experience developing responsive web applications
• 2+ years of experience as tech lead for an agile development team
• Experience developing with AI coding tools
• Experience with build tools (e.g. Webpack, Vite)
• Experience working with UI/UX Designers and Product Managers to meet customer requirements
• Experience using Git and Jira (or similar tooling) in a development workflow

Nice If you Have:

• 2+ years of managerial experience
• 2+ years of experience in API development
• Proficiency with TypeScript
• Experience with Python and/or Java
• Experience with AWS / DevOps infrastructure
• Experience creating features allowing for simultaneous editing of content
• Familiarity with SQL and databases in general

Clearance:

• Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a government security clearance up to TS/SCI#LI-MS1
