Senior Front-End Software Developer (React-NodeJS)

Senior Front-End Software Developer (React-NodeJS)

Workplace Type: Remote - Region: San Francisco, CA

What We’re Looking For:

1. 10+ years experience in Senior Front-End web development
2. Deep expertise in HTML, CSS, and Node JS.
3. Experience with JavaScript and CSS
4. Experience with React
5. You should be comfortable working with the command line and git.
6. Experience building websites with React. We use React, but the ability to write lightweight, performant JavaScript without a framework is also key.
7. We don’t need you to be a designer, but we want someone who can partner closely with our talented design team. Experience with InVision and Figma is helpful.
8. Working knowledge of the way front-end systems run in the cloud and download to the browser. Can you diagnose a caching problem with a CDN, and do you know how to fix it?
9. Understanding or further reading of further-reaching technical concepts (E.g., API design, modular structures, dependency injection, test automation, functional vs object-oriented programming, design patterns, etc.)
10. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. You’ll actively work with more junior developers to provide guidance and help develop their skills and careers.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Driving the technical design and development of enterprise web applications and leveraging a test-driven development approach.
2. Developing performant front-end components and solid front-end architectures that easily integrate with other systems and technologies.
3. Collaborating with a cross-functional and global team of product owners, back-end developers, enterprise architects, designers, and QA to understand detailed requirements and deliver robust cloud-based solutions to drive business growth and profitability.
4. Utilizing programming languages and frameworks like React, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and LESS/SASS.
5. Experimenting with and learning new technologies and mentoring other members of the engineering team.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience with building modern web applications with JavaScript/Typescript (React, Vue.js, AngularJS) and semantic HTML5/CSS3 including:
2. Ability to work with remote, RESTful APIs, and third-party web services
3. Loading data asynchronously
4. Understanding state management
5. Using JavaScript templates and dynamic views
6. Using pre-processors
7. Experience with cloud services
8. Experience working in an agile development cycle
9. Proficient in Git version control, responsive design methodologies, and establishing engineering best practices
10. Well-versed in test-driven development principles and able to write clear, meaningful tests for all functionalities.
11. Solution-oriented with superior attention to detail to QA your own work, including cross-browser, cross-platform, and performance testing.
12. Passionate about software development, problem solving, and shipping well-tested code.
13. Deep understanding of design patterns to write reusable and modular code.
14. An exceptional communicator and collaborator to effectively work with both technical and non-technical peers.

Qualifications:

1. 10+ years professional development experience delivering HTML, CSS and JavaScript based applications
2. At least 5+ years of experience with React
3. General understanding of UI design principles and best practices
4. Well versed in responsive design and implementation
5. General understanding of software design principles
6. Able to give and receive honest, constructive feedback to others
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. Previous consulting experience preferred
9. Knowledge of best practices for IT operations in an always-on, always-available service model
10. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments.
