Job summary

Rapinno Tech is seeking a Front End Developer for a remote, 6+ months contract. The role requires translating designs into semantic, responsive web pages and building robust client-side code with automated tests.

You will collaborate with product owners and designers to deliver a high-quality UI, mentor junior engineers, and lead usability and A/B testing efforts. Strong AngularJS/JQuery and web standards expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in information technology or design, or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum five years industry/field specific experience. Minimum of five years of front-end development.
• Extensive experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript; Angular.js and jQuery preferred.
• Experience with Node.js and related Node tools; iPhone SDK preferred.
• Expert knowledge of web standards and compatibility issues.
• Experience translating design comps into web-based equivalents.
• Experience with version control systems such as Subversion and/or Git, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop.
• Specialist in UI design practices: user-centered design, highly interactive interfaces, and navigation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate design compositions and technical specs into clean, semantic markup and responsive webpages or apps.
• Develop production client-side code, server-side code, and tests with maintainable structure.
• Lead testing initiatives, usability, A/B and multivariate testing.
• Collaborate with owners, designers, and developers to enhance user experience.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure code quality and adherence to standards throughout the project life cycle.
