Job summary

The Trade Desk in Ventura, CA is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to design and deliver scalable UI features for a global advertising platform. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers to gather requirements, define scope, and measure success criteria for new functionality.

You will develop with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and CSS, build and test front-end components and back-end services, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience developing front-end applications with JavaScript/TypeScript and CSS, using React or a similar framework.
• 3+ years building complex UI systems with multiple components and multi-step workflows; experience with C#/.NET, SQL Server, and high-throughput API services.
• 2+ years designing GraphQL APIs and CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud deployment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, risks, and success criteria for new functionality.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing features, optimize performance, and implement enhancements.
• Prepare design documents and participate in cross-team design reviews.
• Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, C#, .NET, GraphQL and SQL.
• Validate software quality with automated and manual testing and ensure documentation meets standards.
• Contribute to full SDLC from planning to deployment and ongoing support.
• Diagnose distributed systems using observability tools and implement dashboards/alerts for reliability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (GitLab/GitHub Actions).
• Deploy applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and other cloud/edge platforms.
• Enhance UI functionality across database, API, and UI layers and support programmatic media buyers.
