Job summary

Applied Research Solutions (ARS) seeks mid–senior Front-End Developers to design, build, and maintain modern, user-facing web interfaces for a Denver-area program supporting NGA. Candidates should excel in HTML5, CSS, RESTful APIs, and modern frameworks, with a TS clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities include building accessible, responsive front-end experiences, collaborating in Agile teams, and contributing to full-stack workflows.

Qualifications

• US citizen
• Current Top Secret clearance and able to polygraph test
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent with 5 years experience; or 3 years with Masters)
• Advanced knowledge of HTML5, RESTful and/or Java
• Deep familiarity with Git and GitHub
• Understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508) and best practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Team-oriented communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3 and preprocessing tools (LESS/SASS)
• Implement UIs with modern frameworks (Angular/React); contribute to service development
• Integrate and consume RESTful APIs for dynamic experiences
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional partners
• Use Git for version control and code reviews
• Ensure front-end code adheres to accessibility standards (Section 508)
• Research and adopt new tools and frameworks as needed
• Engage with open-source ecosystems and contribute where possible
• Translate designs into functional, responsive layouts
• Create templates/views within full-stack frameworks (Rails, Express, Django)
