Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Software Engineer II - Portal (Front End) to join the Payrix software engineering team in Atlanta, GA. You will own portal features, work with Angular/TypeScript, and collaborate across teams to deliver a scalable payments platform.

You will engage in code reviews, mentor peers, and contribute to AWS-based cloud-native solutions while aligning with SDLC best practices and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with best practices and patterns.
• Experience with large-scale systems.
• 3+ years Angular front-end development.
• 2+ years ExpressJS backend development.
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MariaDB).
• Strong REST API experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding SDLC and best practices.
• Ability to own medium-sized features with cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with cloud services for cloud-native apps.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver portal front-end features with the engineering team.
• Contribute to building a scalable platform on AWS and follow best practices.
• Collaborate to refine business requirements for the payments platform.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews.
• Coordinate with technical and non-technical stakeholders on project needs.
• Work with Node.js, TypeScript, Angular, Playwright, MariaDB, AWS, Git, CI/CD tools.
