Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Front End Software Engineer II - Portal to join the Payrix software engineering team. You will help shape the future of global commerce by building, owning, and refining the portal web application used to manage merchant boarding, transactions and reporting.

The role emphasizes Angular front-end work, collaboration across teams, and mentoring teammates in a fast-paced payments environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience with software development and strong grasp of code architecture and design patterns.
• Solid understanding of large-scale software systems.
• 3+ years in Angular-based front-end development.
• 2+ years of ExpressJS backend development.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB).
• Good understanding of REST APIs and cloud services.
• Strong communication and SDLC knowledge.
• Ability to own delivery of medium-sized features with multiple teammates.

Responsibilities

• Working with an engineering team to solve complex problems.
• Contributing to building a scalable platform on top of AWS.
• Collaborating to refine business requirements and evolve the payments platform.
• Fully owning the services you and your team build.
• Participating in team code reviews.
• Mentoring less experienced team members to help them succeed.
