Job description

We are seeking a skilled Front-End Engineer with strong experience in Contentful and modern JavaScript frameworks to join our digital experience team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing content-driven front-end solutions that support multi-language and multi-region strategies, leveraging best practices in content modeling and API integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance front-end applications using React and Next.js.
• Integrate with Contentful via RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries using TypeScript.
• Leverage Contentful SDKs (e.g., contentful, contentful-management, contentful-rich-text-react-renderer) to connect content with UI seamlessly.
• Design and maintain content models in Contentful, including handling of references, localization, and media assets.
• Support content editors and publishers by building intuitive authoring and preview experiences.
• Implement webhooks, preview APIs, and collaborate with backend and DevOps teams to maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Vercel, etc.).
• Utilize Static Site Generation (SSG) and Server-Side Rendering (SSR) to optimize performance and SEO.
• Participate in cross-functional team discussions to align on product requirements and deliver user-centric solutions.
• Support the content lifecycle from creation to sunset across multiple geographies and languages.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in front-end development with a focus on React and Next.js.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proven experience working with Contentful CMS in production environments.
• Solid understanding of content modeling, localization, and structured content management.
• Hands-on experience consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines.
• Experience in building scalable front-end architectures that support multi-language/multi-region content strategies.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Exposure to Vue.js or Svelte frameworks.
• Experience with static site generators and performance optimization techniques.
• Understanding of accessibility (a11y) and SEO best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Nice to Have:
• Prior experience in e-commerce or large-scale content-rich platforms.
• Contributions to open-source projects or personal Contentful/React portfolio projects.
