Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with electromechanical product development.
• Designing for plastic parts, including silicone, rubber, and injection molded parts.
• Working with IP teams to track prior art and identify novel solutions.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or Creo.

Responsibilities

• Own the Floorcare front-end technology and feasibility phase for next-generation vacuums and floorcare products.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional PD, ID, Brand, and Test Kitchen teams in the US, UK, and China.
• Fail fast by building functional rigs to validate ideas before back-end handoff.
• Tinker hands-on across short- and long-term projects with proof-of-concept rigs.
• Communicate ideas via sketches, CAD layouts, 3D models, and working prototypes.
• Carry out design and engineering studies, solving technical and consumer issues with user experience in mind.
• Collaborate with global AD and CI teams to drive consumer-focused direction through development.
• Coach and support juniors, balancing multiple workflows and deadlines.
