Job description

Darigold is seeking a Senior Freight Procurement Analyst to join our team! The Senior Freight Procurement Analyst is responsible supporting the sourcing, analytics and management of all 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) providers (truckload, LTL, rail, drayage & ocean) for the safe and secure movement of Darigold’s products. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Transportation Procurement and work collaboratively within the team and the organization to align the company’s transportation / logistics services to improve the company’s bottom line results and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

What You Will Do:

  • Analyze all modes of 3PL transportation spend (truckload, LTL, rail, drayage, and ocean), providing detailed financial reporting, variance analysis and monthly/quarterly forecasts to support budget planning and cost control.
  • Prepare and deliver data-driven insights to internal stakeholders by compiling and interpreting historical shipping data, identifying cost reduction opportunities and supporting strategic decision-making with business case presentations.
  • Support and lead 3PL sourcing initiatives, including bid strategy development, supplier evaluations, contract administration and implementation of new carriers, processes and rate structures.
  • Supply transportation pricing support to Darigold’s Sales and Pricing teams (domestic and international) for new and existing business, including updates on rate changes and transportation impacts.
  • Administer and maintain core transportation systems, including the Transportation Management System (OTM), ensuring accurate carrier setup, rate uploads, geofencing and tracking performance.
  • Develop and maintain standardized templates, scorecards, KPIs and reporting tools to ensure data integrity and track performance across carrier partners and internal initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, Sales and Operations teams to align procurement strategy with broader organizational goals and to support continuous improvement projects.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and support relationship management for strategic suppliers, ensuring alignment on service expectations, performance metrics and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, technology advancements and regulatory changes to enhance sourcing practices and identify innovative opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship across procurement and optimization functions, fostering a high-performance culture focused on delivering transportation value and service excellence.
  • Maintain job knowledge through professional development, industry research and networking within professional organizations.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed/assigned to support team goals and departmental objectives.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience within procurement, logistics, transportation, distribution and/or supply chain.
  • Proven ability in transportation, logistics or private fleets.
  • Demonstrated experience in administering transportation management software.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Suite with proven ability utilizing Excel and Power BI; must have the ability to learn as well as utilize various types of software/information systems.
  • Knowledge of rating and bid optimization tools.
  • Knowledge and use of TMS and carrier online bid tools.
  • Capable of working cross functionally with finance, supply chain, transportation, operations and sales simultaneously on multiple projects.
  • Action and goal-oriented team player who is willing to go above and beyond the scope of the job.
  • Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of issues.

  • Organized, excellent attention to detail and able to maintain confidential information.

  • Compensation range: $78,000 - $112,426 (individual wage based on previous experience, knowledge, and skills)
