Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a seasoned fraud advisory professional to lead client engagements across prevention, detection, investigation, and recovery, helping clients strengthen fraud risk management programs.

The role requires 7+ years in financial services or consulting, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to define target-state operating models, policies, and control enhancements. Up to 75% travel, NYC/DC metro based role.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting fraud and other financial crime programs.
• Knowledge of fraud typologies and translating them into policy and controls.
• Familiarity with fraud monitoring concepts (rules, alerts, model outputs).
• Strong project management and time management skills.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and autonomously.
• Strong conceptual, quantitative, and qualitative analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills that drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide fraud advisory support and industry domain expertise across prevention, detection, investigation, and recovery.
• Lead client engagements to define fraud strategy, operating model, governance, policies, and controls.
• Facilitate working sessions with client stakeholders to evaluate capabilities and prioritize improvements.
• Conduct fraud risk assessments and program reviews across commercial sector clients.
• Author fraud advisory thought leadership and maintain executive-ready documentation.
• Support business development activities to scale the fraud advisory practice.
• Advise client leaders on governance, risk appetite, escalation paths, and decisioning approaches.
• Review fraud metrics and trends to identify root causes and actionable recommendations.
• Follow firm risk management protocols on all client deliverables.
• Manage day-to-day activities of engagements with cross-firm and client personnel.
• Prepare client-ready deliverables documenting findings and roadmaps.
