Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC's Fraud Data team is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to lead applied research in next-generation fraud detection models across graphs, sequential events, images, and video data. You will design rigorous experiments, run evaluations, and translate promising research into production-ready solutions in collaboration with Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists.

PhD strongly preferred; 2–4+ years of relevant experience; excellent communication and Python

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of relevant research or industry experience, with leadership and impact.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex findings clearly.
• Proficiency in Python and building high-quality research prototypes for production use.

Responsibilities

• Lead applied research across graphs, sequential events, images, and video data.
• Design rigorous experiments and evaluation methodologies reflecting real-world fraud dynamics.
• Collaborate with ML Engineers and Data Scientists to translate research into production-ready solutions.
• Publish and share findings within the company and with stakeholders to raise the technical bar.
