Job summary

Jobtailor in Arizona is seeking a senior fraud analyst to detect account takeover and non-monetary fraud, derive actionable insights from complex data, and implement mitigation controls with cross-functional teams.

You will build monitoring, performance reports, and collaborate with internal and external partners, using Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and relational databases to support strategy and meet goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fraud experience developing and/or optimizing mitigation strategies.
• 2+ years of SQL and/or SAS coding experience.
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and work autonomously with minimal direction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Fraud or Claims background with focus on Online Banking, Account Takeover, and/or authentication.
• Understanding of statistical methods for developing performance metrics.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau.
• Proficiency coding in SAS and/or Python and using Hadoop Impala/Hive.
• Familiarity with code automation.
• Experience mentoring or leading other teammates.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Expertise in building and managing stakeholder relationships and presenting to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and maintain rules and capabilities designed to detect account takeover and non-monetary fraud.
• Derive actionable insights from complex data.
• Investigate and perform root cause analysis of major fraud losses and emerging trends.
• Implement incremental fraud mitigation controls with functional stakeholders.
• Develop monitoring and oversight for cross-functional processes, including performance reporting and collaboration opportunities.
• Work with internal and external partners to understand limitations and improvement opportunities.
• Perform complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends.
• Use Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and relational databases to provide analytical support on strategies and ensure goals are met.
• Evaluate data to assess potential fraud risk and create mitigation strategies.
• Propose policy and procedural changes within segmentation structures.
• Recommend data-driven actions to help the business achieve desired outcomes.
• Lead production of product performance reports and updates for senior management.
