Job summary

A&W Restaurants, Inc. seeks a Corporate Paralegal to lead the Franchise Administration team and support legal, compliance, and governance activities from the Lexington, Kentucky headquarters.

The role partners with executive leadership, outside counsel, and internal teams to manage contracts, IP, regulatory compliance, and corporate records. Responsibilities include drafting and organizing franchise documents, overseeing record retention, and advising on franchise law changes while contributing

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive paralegal experience, including at least 3 years in a corporate or business environment.
• Experience leading, coaching, or developing a team.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Franchise Administration & Compliance activities, including franchise transactions and document management.
• Coordinate contract review, drafting, and maintenance for the Company and affiliates.
• Prepare and maintain corporate records and filings; liaison with registered agents.
• Coordinate IP portfolio administration and filings; support outside counsel.
• Assist with risk management, insurance documentation, and regulatory inquiries.
• Support Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) preparation and regulatory reporting.
