Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join the firmware engineering team to develop next‑generation FPGA‑based control and signal processing solutions for mission‑critical power applications. You will work with hardware, software, and systems engineers to translate complex requirements into robust digital architectures across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years FPGA development experience.
• Experience collaborating with hardware and software teams.
• Hands-on laboratory and hardware debugging experience.
• Familiarity with FPGA-based DSP design (FIR/IIR/CIC).
• VHDL/Verilog design knowledge.
• Knowledge of timing analysis and floor planning.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop RTL for FPGA implementations.
• Develop verification test benches for logic designs.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define interfaces and performance.
• Estimate cost/scope of software efforts to meet program constraints.
• Support hardware design reviews and system-level analysis.
