Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to develop embedded software for power electronic systems in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. You will work with hardware, electrical, and systems teams to deliver real-time control solutions that ensure performance, reliability, and safety across mission-critical products.

The role emphasizes hands-on firmware development, RTOS and Linux-based environments, and the integration of CAN/RS485/SPI/I2C interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of embedded firmware development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Embedded C programming.
• Experience developing software in Linux-based environments.
• Experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Hands-on experience debugging embedded systems and hardware integrations.
• Experience with communication interfaces such as CAN, RS485, SPI, and I2C.
• Strong understanding of embedded architectures, microcontrollers, and system-level design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for advanced power electronic systems
• Develop real-time software using Embedded C within Linux-based environments
• Implement and support firmware running on RTOS platforms
• Develop and optimize control algorithms for system performance and reliability
• Troubleshoot firmware, hardware, and system-level issues
• Support hardware integration, validation, and product testing activities
• Implement and maintain communication protocols including CAN, RS485, SPI, and I2C
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, manufacturing, systems engineering, and quality
• Support both new product development and continuous improvement initiatives for existing products
