Job summary

ConsultNet Technology Services and Solutions is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test FPGA-based systems for aerospace and defense applications. The role spans architecture, simulation, hardware integration, lab testing and verification.

Hybrid, Sunrise, FL, direct hire with a salary target of approximately $150,000 base plus 10% performance bonus. The ideal candidate has 6+ years FPGA/digital design, strong Xilinx/VHDL skills, SDR, RF knowledge, and hands‑on

Qualifications

• 6+ years FPGA/digital design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong FPGA design and development experience.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGA devices preferred; Altera/Client FPGA experience may be considered.
• Strong proficiency with VHDL/HDL or similar languages.
• Experience with digital logic design, simulation, implementation, and debugging.
• Experience with SDR or RF/digital signal systems.
• Understanding of physical-layer communications (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, etc.).
• Working knowledge of C/C++.
• Experience with testbenches, simulation, automation, and debugging.
• Hands-on hardware testing of FPGA designs in a lab environment.
• Familiarity with Git, TFS, or similar tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Hybrid on-site work requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test FPGA-based systems.
• Support projects from architecture and simulation through hardware integration and lab testing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide mentoring if needed.
• Work with Xilinx devices and SDR/RF systems across physical-layer communications.
