Job summary

Triple Crown in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to drive real-time 4K video and audio processing for aerospace applications. You will design Verilog for Xilinx devices, integrate high-speed interfaces, and collaborate with hardware and software teams on architecture, timing, and optimization.

This role requires deep FPGA experience, strong Verilog skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten or more years of hands-on FPGA development experience.
• Proven expertise with Xilinx FPGAs and toolchains, including Vivado or similar development tools.
• Strong Verilog development skills with IP integration.
• Extensive experience with video interfaces and standards (HDMI, SDI, etc.).
• Deep understanding of video and audio pipelines for real-time 4K processing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative hardware/software environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex video and audio processing algorithms using Verilog for Xilinx FPGA devices.
• Develop real-time video pipelines supporting 4K/UHD, HDR/SDR, scaling, color conversion, and up/down conversion.
• Integrate high-speed interfaces including PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, HDMI, and SDI.
• Support USB-based 4K video playback within an embedded aircraft cabin environment.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams on design partitioning, timing closure, and optimization.
• Create detailed design documentation and interface definitions.
