Amentum is seeking a senior HW/SW Design Engineer to join a small team designing, developing, and testing FPGA-based hardware and software processing for RF subsystems.

You will lead DSP algorithm implementation in FPGA, integrate with Linux code bases, and bridge FPGA to the software stack while documenting all design efforts. This role demands strong FPGA, DSP, and software integration skills in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing FPGA hardware and DSP algorithms for integration with software.
• Knowledge of FPGA-RTL development, timing closure, and resource optimization.
• Interfacing FPGA code with Linux-based software stacks and C/C++ tooling.

Responsibilities

• Implement DSP and FPGA components for integration with the existing codebase.
• Lead hardware-software integration efforts and document design decisions.
