Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an FPGA Engineer to advance high-throughput FPGA/SoC implementations and hardware/software integration. The role emphasizes deep RTL design, verification, and lab bring-up in a fast-paced defense tech context.

The candidate will work with DSP, software, and hardware teams to deliver precise timing, reliable interfaces, and robust architectures while contributing to design reviews and lab debugging efforts.

Qualifications

• Must have FPGA development experience on Xilinx/SoC/MPSoC platforms or equivalent high-performance digital devices for SDR systems.
• Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog including simulation and timing closure.
• Experience building high-speed digital datapaths and interfaces such as Ethernet/ DMA or streaming pipelines.
• Hands-on familiarity with precision timing, sysref/clocking concepts, and deterministic interface behavior.
• Experience with FPGA verification methodologies and CI-backed validation.
• Ability to collaborate with software and DSP engineers on interfaces and integration boundaries.
• Comfort debugging in lab with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication for design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-throughput FPGA datapaths, packetization pipelines, timing-sensitive interfaces, and hardware-near acceleration blocks.
• Own RTL design, simulation, verification, and lab bring-up across VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog-based workflows.
• Collaborate with DSP, software, hardware, and systems engineers to translate requirements into FPGA implementations.
• Drive precision timing and throughput closure for the FPGA/SoC platform and high-speed interfaces.
• Document architectures, interfaces, and verification approaches for cross-functional integration and maintainability.
• Support design reviews, technical trade studies, and lab debugging with an engineer mindset.
