Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior FPGA Design Engineer in Massachusetts for onsite work at either Tewksbury or Marlborough. You will design and implement FPGA solutions across multiple device families, translate requirements into FPGA architectures, and guide verification and documentation efforts.

The role requires 5+ years of FPGA experience with VHDL/Verilog and SystemVerilog, plus familiarity with Xilinx or Microsemi toolchains.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in STEM with 5+ years of FPGA design experience.
• Experience coding in VHDL and/or Verilog; SystemVerilog experience required.
• Experience with Xilinx or Microsemi devices and flow tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver production-quality FPGA releases from concept to production.
• Architect FPGA-based systems to determine parts, interfaces, and CONOPS.
• Translate system-level requirements into FPGA requirements.
• Code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability.
• Verify designs using self-checking techniques with directed/constrained random tests and coverage tracking.
• Lead small teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Support internal and external technical reviews.
