Job summary

Intuitive in Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a talented FPGA Design Engineer to join the FPGA Core team. You will design and integrate FPGA solutions for communications, embedded processing, sensor interfacing and motor control within world-class surgical robotics systems.

The role involves owning designs from concept to production, collaborating with hardware, software and manufacturing teams, and driving verification, validation and bring-up to ensure safe, reliable system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience designing complex FPGA modules.
• Fluent in System-Verilog/Verilog (VHDL a plus).
• Experience with AMD Versal and Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC devices.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with FPGA team members to build and maintain a world-class design platform.
• Own entire FPGA designs from concept to production.
• Develop modular FPGA content for shared applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure correct implementation from concept to system integration.
• Design, implement, and perform in-system verification and validation.
