• 10+ years of FPGA, digital design, or embedded systems engineering experience.
• Experience designing and developing FPGA-based systems.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGA development tools (Vivado, SDK, Vitis).
• Experience developing FPGA IP using VHDL, Verilog, and/or HLS with C/C++.
• Experience integrating Xilinx and third-party IP blocks.
• Experience developing FPGA test benches and performing design verification.
• Experience developing system constraints and performing timing closure.
• Experience debugging FPGA designs via simulation and lab testing.
• Experience with industry-standard protocols (PCIe, USB, Ethernet, DDR, I2C, SPI, CAN).

Senior FPGA Design Engineer

Location: Sterling Heights, MI; Specializing in Xilinx/Video & Image Processing; Salary: $74.60 - $88.60 per hour.

We are hiring a Senior FPGA Design Engineer with 10+ years of experience to design and implement FPGA-based electronics supporting video and image processing applications. This role focuses on Xilinx FPGA development using Vivado, SDK, and Vitis, with VHDL, Verilog, and HLS (C/C++) development, design verification, timing closure, simulation, hardware debugging, and embedded software development across bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux environments. The engineer will collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineering teams to develop FPGA solutions for video processing, control systems, and system interfaces while supporting existing and legacy designs. The position also involves FPGA IP development and integration, test bench development, Linux device drivers, industry-standard interfaces, requirements analysis, revision control, and issue tracking.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement FPGA solutions supporting video processing, image processing, control systems, and system interfaces.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineers to define and develop FPGA designs.
• Support, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing and legacy FPGA designs.
• Develop and maintain test benches for FPGA design verification.
• Analyze and review system and FPGA requirements and decompose requirements into actionable engineering work packages.
• Develop new FPGA intellectual property (IP) using VHDL, Verilog, and/or High-Level Synthesis (HLS) with C/C++.
