Job summary

RGP is seeking an experienced FP&A Consultant to support strategic finance initiatives, forecasting, budgeting, and executive decision-making. The role partners with finance and business leaders to deliver insights, drive reports, and enhance analytical capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations. Consulting engagement is project-based with W2 hourly rates and flexible scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or related experience expected.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel with complex formulas and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience with ERP and reporting platforms such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Hyperion, Oracle, SAP, Workday, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate performance, initiatives, growth opportunities, and investments.
• Analyze actuals vs budget/forecast and identify key drivers and trends.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/ad hoc management reports for executive leadership.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide financial guidance and insights.
• Create dashboards and KPIs to enhance financial visibility and operational performance.
• Perform scenario modeling and what-if analyses for strategic planning.
• Evaluate revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, and key metrics to identify risks/opportunities.
• Support board/investor presentations with robust analyses and materials.
• Drive FP&A process improvements, automation, and best practices for efficiency.
• Assist with ERP, EPM, and financial system implementations and optimizations.
